Lynn Mason

Landscape Architect, CPSI

Lynn has a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Buffalo and a master’s degree in landscape architecture form Cal Poly Pomona. After graduation she worked for a small landscape architecture firm in the Buffalo area focusing on playground and site designs for schools. She was instrumental in convincing the Buffalo Public School District that every elementary school should have a playground.

Lynn joined Parkitects in 2010 to lead the design efforts at the western office. Her role has since expanded and she now provides site design assistance to all the project managers. She focuses on designs that integrate play equipment with outdoor learning environments with an emphasis on plants, berms, rocks and other natural features. One of her favorite projects, Buffalo Promise Neighborhood Children’s Academy was recognized in 2014 by the upstate ASLA chapter with a Merit Award in built design.

If you happen to see Lynn in late July or early August and she is covered in scratches, she did not get in a fight with her cats! She was out picking wild blackberries with her husband, son, and two daughters.
